St Dunstan-in-the-East, London

On my way back from Johannesburg, I stopped in London for a 9-hour layover. So, I hopped aboard the Tube and headed into town for a whirlwind scenic trip. I walked along the Thames, taking in a couple of the famous sites and marveled at the mix of old and new architecture conversing across the city. But, the place that drew me to this area was a small, bombed out church that had been turned into a garden: St. Dunstan-in-the-East. It was like a secret park in the middle of town, so I spent an hour photographing it’s beauty, then headed back to Heathrow airport before my next 10-hour flight home.
